January Resident Spotlight

This month we'd like to take a moment to shine our spotlight on a very special resident who uniquely expressed her gratitude to our staff at Trueman Pointe. Regina has absolutely loved staying at our skilled nursing facility! Her family and husband, Mike, are so thankful for all the love and support Regina has received that they made an awesome t-shirt to show how much they love Trueman Pointe! It really touched our hearts to see the impact our care has on residents and families at our facility.

Regina, who also goes by Reggie, was born in September 1952. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio, so naturally, she was a Pittsburg Steelers fan. Now she is a die-hard Ohio State Fan! GO BUCKS! She lived in Steubenville until she was 24 and then moved to Arizona for over ten years with her husband. Mike and Regina have been married since 1975 and are still going strong! They both moved back to Columbus in the 1990s.
When Regina was growing up, she wanted to be a firefighter, but it shortly changed to wanting to become a nurse. She always loved helping people, so she followed that passion. In her downtime, she enjoys reading mystery and love novels and going shopping. Regina’s favorite travel destinations include Florida and Hawaii. She loves anywhere with a beautiful beach!

Regina and Mike have one beautiful daughter named Kelly. For many years, the couple raised dogs, with a special love for Great Danes. They even raised dogs for police canine units. Regina’s favorite dog is their most recent, Sir Charles, who was born on Christmas. When we asked for advice for someone in their 20s, Regina stated,
“Enjoy it while you can! Life goes by faster than you think!”
We are honored to have Regina in our care and to serve her entire family. We appreciate the fun t-shirts, and hope they get some great use out of them! They will always be a part of our Trueman Pointe Family.
